Experience.

The founder of Wilson Capital, Ryan Wilson has worked in the investment industry since 2005. He spent the first 7 years in the industry working at investment management firms focused on the institutional marketplace. He loved the work, but wanted to be able to help people, not institutions.

Eager to do things independently without the strings attached of being a part of a larger firm, he established Wilson Capital in 2013 with the singular goal of helping people build their wealth in a comfortable atmosphere. In 2015, Ryan earned his CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certification. CFP® professionals have completed extensive training and experience requirements and are held to rigorous ethical standards. Today, Ryan works with a growing group of clients both in the Boston area and around the country.

Ryan and his wife Sarah live in Swampscott, Massachusetts along with their two young boys Russell and Duncan. Outside of work Ryan enjoys his lifelong pursuit to swing a golf club like Ernie Els, running around the Charles River to offset his quest for the best burger in Boston, and his newest adventure--learning how to ski as a way to spend time with Sarah on the slopes.

Peace of Mind in Partnerships

This independence also allows Wilson Capital to choose partnerships carefully. We utilize Shareholder's Service Group (SSG) to service our client accounts. SSG has chosen Pershing, LLC a subsidiary of Bank of New York Mellon, for security clearing and custody. Pershing has over 6 million accounts and over $1 trillion in client assets. Pershing LLC provides account protection through SIPC as well as excess protection through Lloyd's of London. In addition Wilson Capital holds its own Investment Professional Liabilities and Cyber Insurance through Lloyd's of London.
